Project Lead the Way continues to spread its mission

April 10, 2006

Project Lead The Way, Inc.’s network of participating schools and districts continues to grow!  As of January 15, 2008, over 2,300 school sites are offering the Project Lead The Way® pre-engineering and biomedical sciences programs to middle or high school students.  The replication of the original program continues productively, furthering PLTW’s mission of addressing the national shortage of qualified science technology, technology engineering and engineering professionals.  For more information on Project Lead The Way, please click here .

Exciting Changes to SEAL Program

Charitable Leadership Foundation’s Sustaining Educational Achievement in Literacy initiative has been strengthened by the direct involvement of highly skilled local coaches.  The coaches are in the participating schools on a consistent basis, working with teachers and administration to build a stronger literacy environment.  Our consultants and coaches have been instrumental in implementing these changes and focusing on each school’s individual needs.

New Schools to be added to the SEAL Program

CLF is seeking applications from approximately ten (10) selected schools who are interested in participating in our SEAL initiative.  After the review process has been completed, weexpect to fund four (4) additional schools, to begin in the 2008-2009 academic year.  The foundation is excited to replicate the program and looks forward to future successes at the new schools.

CLF Seeks Proposals from Qualified Statisticians

CLF is seeking proposals from qualified individuals who can assist in interpreting numerical data regarding literacy achievement that is collected from elementary students as part of CLF’s Sustaining Educational Achievement in Literacy (“SEAL”) initiative.  As with all CLF programs, through our grants we are seeking measurable results that have a significant impact on and provide long-term solutions to early childhood illiteracy.  See attachment for further information.
