CLF Medical Technology Acceleration Program, Inc. (MTAP) is a non-profit organization that supports medical research projects, which have a substantial likelihood of benefiting the public. MTAP began in 1997 as a part of Charitable Leadership Foundation. It became a separate entity in 2002.

Center for Medical Science, Inc. (CMS) was organized to promote the advancement of medical research and science and to assist in the development of facilities to be used exclusively for medical research and science. CMS oversees and operates a building constructed and operated solely for medical research laboratory activities, which are performed by governmental or section 501(c)(3) entities.

Through CMS, the nationally competitive, critical mass of research scientists located in Albany’s Capital District can collaborate effectively with the region’s academic and governmental research institutions.

Ordway Research Institute, Inc. (Ordway) is a not-for-profit, freestanding corporation with specific research themes and a mission to translate basic science observations into therapeutics. Ordway is committed to fostering inter-institutional, competitively-funded research, and its research themes expand on existing regional programs of excellence.

Ordway’s research takes place in The Center for Medical Science building at University Heights in Albany, which houses Ordway’s researchers and investigators, plus research teams from the Wadsworth Center/New York State Department of Health and the Albany College of Pharmacy.
